Dearest, dearest readers! Guess what? Yellowtrace is going to be 3 years old tomorrow! Far out, can you seriously believe it? I am honestly struggling with the concept. Where has the time gone?

I don’t know about you guys, but for my money, this has been one helluva year. We launched with a brand new look in January, introduced you to our crazy talented contributors, launched our Post Gallery, travelled to Paris for Maison & Design Week, were fortunate to receive some absolutely wonderful press… Not to mention the most significant personal transition that happened in April, when Husband and I became parents to baby yellowtrace. Oh my, what a ride. And whilst I’ve been adjusting to my new life and the delicious chaos of motherhood, the site has continued to grow and grow, and I’ve simply been doing my best to keep rolling with it! I feel most privileged to have your continued support, your readership and your company – I love that we get to hang out and indulge in some crazy awesome design, and that we are still having fun after all this time.

So you see, I would like to ask you for a little bit of your time, in hope that you will help us improve the site for next year by taking a moment to complete our 2012 reader survey. I truly value your time and your opinion, and as a reward for your efforts, completing the survey will give you the chance to win some incredible prizes. Oh yes, there are prizes and they are GOOD. In fact, given this is our 3rd birthday I thought it would be fitting to throw a little Yellow Party to celebrate this milestone. Weeee! In honour of our signature colour, yellowtrace has partnered with 9 of our valued friends and sponsors who are generously offering you the chance to win 13 fantastic prizes valued over $3,000 AUD! Totes amaze, no? Why don’t you move a little bit closer so I can tell you a bit more about the prizes.

The concepts behind these pieces explore the contrast between what is external and internal. A combination between organic forms and classical details is key to its development.
