It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… Well, it’s actually been looking a lot like Christmas for a long, long time now. And please don’t get me started on that – you know how I feel about it. And if you don’t, this post will enlighten you if you are interested. Regardless of my feelings on ‘Christmas madness’, every girl loves a beautiful window display, right? I came across some wonderful examples which can be seen along New York’s world famous department stores on Fifth Avenue right now. Hooray! Consider this a little virtual trip to New York courtesy of yellowtrace. Ahhh… you are so welcome!

Last week, Saks heralded its Christmas windows with a performance by the American Ballet Theater. Howzat for awesome? Nicola Formichetti designed “Gaga’s boudoir” for Barney’s made entirely out of hair — both human and artificial follicles used in wigs. Holy guacamole! Bergdorf Goodman windows were designed by David Hoey featuring weird and wonderful world of exquisite ephemera such as Frédérique Morrel embroidered taxidermy (if my spying skills serve me correctly). You may recall I blogged about FM’s mindblowing installation in Milan last year back in this post.
