Another day another drop dead gorgeous interior. This time it’s a workplace, a topic very close to my heart. I am always so excited to see a well thought out and beautifully designed workplace interior that isn’t screaming “look at me – I have a cool breakout man”.

This little gem was crafted for one of the world’s largest design consultancies, No Picnic, by Stockholm based duo Elding Oscarson (I blogged about these guys when I first started this little site – see the post right here). This office is located in a stunning 19th century building in central Stockholm, carrying the highest level of heritage protection.

Elding Oscarsoncreated a striking client area with meeting rooms located behind a mirror & metal membrane, which make it difficult to distinguish what is there and what is reflected. This kaleidoscopic and illusory space is beautifully complemented with key pieces by Bouroullec Borthers and Tom Dixon.

Extreme L.O.V.E!

I agree, this is the most stunning space. Those pinky orange stools are the most amazing colour. LOVE it!

    That is brilliant!

It took me a moment to realise that the amazingly cool double staircase was in fact a reflection.

It is amazingly well thought out – so simple in concept yet perfect in execution.

I love the pared back whites that are then given a pop with Reds & Pinks. How cool is it that one board room has such vibrant chairs whilst the other carries the theme with just the table legs!

Sorry to hijack this post with something unrelated, but Tamizo architects updated their website a few days ago. Whitewash herrigbone floors, hand planed timber, black bricks. So beautiful! If you haven’t already seen it, run!

I first discovered Tamizo through your blog and have been reading yellowtrace religiously ever since. Thanks, Dana, for bringing them to my attention!
