A Frock And A Hard Place | Fashion Editorial.

So I don’t really post about fashion that often, but these images… oh my… these are something else. They took my breath away. Literally. Amazing clothes, beautiful textures, depth of colour, model’s grumpy facial expressions, exotic fabrics, folds, pleats, tassels, feathers, fur, details, details, details… I mean, I seriously want to design a space inspired by one of these images. I can just see it and feel it… Ahhh, so much beauty.
This editorial is titled A Frock And A Hard Place (love the name) from the [Financial Times] How to Spend It November 2010 issue. Croatian model Kristina Salinovic is so beautifully captured by Benjamin Lennox. See the whole editorial here.
Extreme love.
And on that note – have a super awesome weekend!

My goodness. These are breathtaking. I can’t imagine any
place in my life where I could where these, even if I could afford
them, but they are true Art. It is a shame we can’t walk through
our external lives (most of us, anyway) with the dreams we have
inside. I could get lost just looking at these again and again.
Inspiring on so many levels. I would do just about anything to wear
the one in the top photo just once, even if only for a few moments,
and feel like the female I think we were all intended to feel like.
Sublime.
We need to dress up more.
I think I’ll be getting out my giant nitting needles this weekend, because I love that red cardi.
knitting. sorry. sore head.
Jackie, you are so right – these cloths are art, as is the photography which manages to capture so much richness and beauty in a still frame. I too would love to wear one of these outfits (especially the first one and the second one!)
Kate, hope the head is better by now. You did have (almost) two wines last night… Wowzers! It was so fun :)

Oh my! I see why they took your breath away. They are more
like works of art than a fashion shoot. Stunning.
