Ahem. So you may have noticed a little quote which has been gracing the top right hand corner of this page for the past few months - ’Be fearful of mediocrity’ by Jonathan Ellery.

I don’t think I need to make it any clearer that yellowtrace is definitely not here to celebrate mediocrity in any shape or form. Just like Mr Ellery, I too am fearful of it. In fact I am also angered by it. Mediocrity is a waste of time and space.

So why am I showing you a video titled 2011 Mediocrity? Because it’s hilarious. Because it takes the piss. Please watch it – it goes for less than two minutes. It is a truly brilliant piece of copyrighting.

When we came up with this idea we thought – ‘Let’s not come up with any other ideas. This idea is good enough.’

And the beige on greige set design really says it all. Genius.
