Georges Rousse.
Georges Rousse is a French photographer who takes photos of abandoned spaces such as buildings, parking garages, streetscapes etc. Before taking a photo, Georges paints precise geometrical shapes which produce the illusion of a simple, flat design floating on the surface of the photo.

Looking at them, over and over again, tickles my funny bone, you know? It’s a crazy idea, I love it.
I know what you mean Heather. I keep looking at them too and try to work out how he did it. It’s messing with my head!

I never would have guessed that those shapes were actually painted on the surfaces in these spaces! Amazing!
