    I am madly in love with Niche Modern lighting. The Pharos lights have been an integral part of one of my concept boards for over 12 months, and in the end both the client and I had to give them up. Damn new lighting code that only allows energy efficient light sources! What is going to happen to all these stunning glass lights with incadescent globes? Does it mean that we will never be able to use them in a commercial application ever again?

    Niche Modern has actually developed a frosted version that can take a fluorescent globe, which deals with the very issue I just mentioned. You can see it here – but I warn you, it’s going to make you really sad…
