    Young Melbourne based studio Edwards Moore have cleverly renovated and extended an apartment in Fitzroy that overlooks a public swimming pool. The project explores ideas of the interior relates back to the public view from the pool as well as from within. Internal surfaces that face the pool are reflective and gold in contrast with limed timber, oriented strand board {OSB}, concrete and matt black fixtures.

    This project has just the right mix of edge, cool and grunge for me. It may not be exactly my style, but I really appreciate the confidence with which they used OSB – cause that stuff ain’t the easiest of materials to pull off. But these guys did it by balancing it with the right amount of clean detailing and a bit of bling…
