    I love New Years Eve! When I was a child, we used to have huge parties with all our friends and relatives. It was the biggest party of the year by far. Today was also the day Santa would visit all the kids with his sack full of lollies, chocolates and other sugary goodness. {That’s what you get when you are growing up a Communist society where religious holidays such as Christmas or Easter weren’t celebrated publicly}.

    Living in Sydney, New Years Eve is all about the fireworks. And for the past 15 years that I’ve lived here, each time they announce that this year’s fireworks are going to be “The Best Ever”. It’s pretty funny. But they are some seriously spectacular fireworks just the same. Certainly the best ones I’ve ever seen anywhere…
